MD 151 sign
(February 12, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) today activated a new temporary traffic signal along MD 151 (Sparrows Point Boulevard) at Wharf Road (MD 151B) in the construction work zone.
The signal supports the $29 million Sparrows Point Boulevard/Wharf Road interchange bridge replacement project adjacent to Tradepoint Atlantic in southeastern Baltimore County.
This temporary construction traffic signal will enhance safety for motorists turning left from Sparrows Point Boulevard onto Wharf Road and improve access to businesses on Wharf Road south of the interchange. Learn more about the entire interchange improvement project

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
