(December 4, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin removing two bridge decks and detour traffic at MD 151B (Wharf Rd.) as part of the $29 million project to reconstruct three bridges at the MD 151 (Sparrows Point Blvd.) and MD 151B (Wharf Rd.) interchange.
Beginning 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, and continuing for approximately two weeks, northbound MD 151B at the MD 151 interchange will be closed and traffic will be detoured. Drivers will be directed to MD 158 (Bethlehem Blvd.) via northbound MD 151.
The interchange reconstruction project includes the replacement of the northern, middle and southern bridges. During the closure, crews will be removing the decks of the northern bridge, located over Warehouse Rd. and Railroad Line and the middle bridge, located on Wharf Rd. at Sparrows Point Blvd.
