MD 97 sign
(October 2, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin curb and gutter upgrades on MD 97 (Littlestown Pike) on Monday, Oct. 5. The work will take place on a one-mile section in both directions of MD 97 between Airport Drive/Magna Way and Sullivan Avenue in Westminster. The $100,000 project is expected to be complete by November.
MDOT SHA’s contractor, MIM Construction, Inc. of Frederick, will work 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will use flagging operations to safely guide motorists through work zones and intersections.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
