(September 23, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will improve the driving surface of the westbound US 340 exit ramp to Lander Road on Monday, Sept. 28. Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, crews will close the right lane and ramp. The work is expected to be complete by 3 p.m.
Motorists planning to take the Lander Road exit will be directed to take the next exit at MD 180, use the eastbound US 340 exit and continue to Lander Road.
MDOT SHA’s Frederick Shop will be setting up the detour route for this project.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
