• MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation – Total bridge closure scheduled every weekend starting Fridays at 10 p.m. and ending Mondays at 5 a.m. through September except on holiday weekends. Single lane closure with a flagging operation Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ongoing    

Washington County

• I-70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway) between MD 65 (Sharpsburg Pike) and Antietam Creek - Barrier wall installation - Starting at 8 p.m. Sunday, August 23, crews will close the left shoulders of I-70 in both directions. They will reopen by 5 a.m. the next morning. These shoulder closures will be in effect through November. New

Week Ahead

Baltimore County

• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) North and South Bridges over Padonia Road –Dual Bridge replacement and interchange improvements –  Overnight closure/detour of ramp from I-83 South to Padonia Rd. between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday – Thursday nights.  Motorists will be directed to the detour route via the I-83/Timonium Rd. interchange.   

Carroll County 

• MD 91 (Gamber Road/Emory Road) between Bloom Road and the Carroll/Baltimore County line - Patching and resurfacing - Single and double lane closures with a flagging operation from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. MD 91 between MD 140 (Westminster Pike) and MD 879 (Old Gamber Road) will be closed and motorists detoured using MD 879. This project is expected to be complete by October. 

Frederick County 

• I-270 Northbound ramp to Southbound MD 85 - Underground pipe work - Crews have closed the ramp to improve underground drainage. The ramp is expected to reopen by Sunday, August 23. Motorists on northbound I-270 will be directed to use eastbound I-70 and exit at MD 85.     
• MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) between I-70 bridge and Mt. Zion Road - Patching - Single lane closure with a flagging operation Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in both directions of MD 180.           

Harford County 

• US 1 Business (Broadway) between Main St. and Hickory Ave. – Roadway resurfacing - Occasional single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday.    

Montgomery/Prince George’s County 

• Purple Line – For a list of active construction and lane closures along the Purple Line alignment, please click HERE (MTA project).              
• I-495 (Capital Beltway) Outer Loop between MD 650 (New Hampshire Avenue) and MD 193 (University Boulevard) - Emergency repair - Crews are performing permanent bridge joint repairs. Intermittent single and multiple lane closures are expected weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and overnight, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through late August.        

Prince George’s County 

• MD 5 (Branch Avenue) at MD 373 (Accokeek Road)/MD 381 (Brandywine Road) – Interchange construction project -  Intermittent lane closures on all three roads, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through summer 2020.    
• Forest Drive/Columbian Way crossover at MD 3 (Crain Highway) in Bowie -  Roadway, stormwater management work - Crews closed the Forest Drive/Columbian Way crossover at MD 3 through the fall. Motorists will be directed to the northern crossover at Sylvan Drive.

• MD 51 (Industrial Blvd) Bridge over MD 61 (Canal Parkway) in Cumberland - Bridge replacement – All traffic will be switched over to the Northbound lanes while work is done on the South bound bridge - speed limit will be reduced to 30 mph - this will continue throughout the construction season.         

Anne Arundel County 

• MD 450 near Huntwood Drive - Daytime flagging operation - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.        
• MD 648 at Hoyle Lane - Daytime flagging operation – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.     
• MD 32 between MD 295 and MD 198 – Nighttime single lane closures, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.    
• MD 2 between MD 270 (Furnace Branch Road) and I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) - Nighttime single lane closures - Resurfacing - 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• HIGH IMPACT  I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit (MDTA Project) –Bridge rehabilitation project – The southbound bore of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895) will be closed continuously until mid-June.      

Baltimore County 

• I-70 East and West from I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) to Baltimore/Howard Co. line – Part of Areawide Interstate route pavement resurfacing - Single lane closures on I-70 East between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday;  double lane closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday.       
• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) North and South Bridges over Padonia Road –Dual Bridge replacement and interchange improvements – I-83 South and North both have a split traffic pattern at Padonia Rd. interchange with all lanes open (two left, one right) until late fall 2020 (South) and spring 2021 (North).  I-83 North and South may have single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday.  24 hours/7 days single lane closure on Padonia Rd. East until project is complete. Notes: Interchange Ramp from Padonia Road East to I-83 North closed 24 hours/7 days until project is complete.  Single lane closures on Padonia Rd. • Cove Road bridge over I-695 - Bridge deck replacement - On I-695, daytime single lane closures in both directions Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight lane closures Sunday-Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day. • MD 150 (Eastern Ave.) between the bridge over Back River and the intersection with Mace Ave./Riverside Dr. - Baltimore County Water main replacement and MDOT SHA highway resurfacing – Single lane closures on eastbound and MD 150 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday-Friday, and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day, Sunday-Thursday.             
• MD 140 (Reisterstown Rd.) Northbound between Garrison View Rd. and Painters Mill Rd.  Highway Widening and Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures along northbound MD 140 Sunday-Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. Occasional single lane closures Monday-Friday for a two-hour time period between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.          
• MD 140 (Reisterstown Rd.) between Painters Mill Rd. and Pleasant Hill Rd. –Resurfacing/County Water Main replacement - Single lane closures with lane shifts along northbound and southbound MD 140 from the CSX Railroad Bridge to East Pleasant Hill Road.  Crews currently installing new 36-inch water main from Straw Hat Road to Pleasant Hill Rd.. Daytime single lane closures Monday- Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Night time single lane closures Sunday-Thursday between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next day.  Access to all driveways in this section will be maintained during the lane closures. • MD 32 (Sykesville Road) between Main Street and Macbeth Way – Road widening project – Both shoulders are closed and traffic shifted with a barrier wall on northbound MD 32.       

Cecil County

• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) Bridge over Big Elk Creek – Bridge replacement project – Temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic in single lane through summer 2020.     

Charles County 

• Southbound US 301 between MD 6 and Glen Albin Road – Lane shift; restricted access at median crossovers.      
• MD 234 and Glasva School Road – Bridge railing repair – Crews closed access at the southern end of Glasva School Road; traffic detour in effect to northbound US 301  through late summer. Updated     

Frederick County

• MD 132 (West Bel Air Ave.) between US 40 (Philadelphia Blvd./Pulaski Hwy.) and MD 462 (Paradise Ave.) - Roadway resurfacing - Single lane and shoulder/parking lane closures on MD 132 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday and single lane and shoulder/parking lane closures when needed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.        
• MD 924 South (Kenmore Avenue) between US 1 and Main Street, and MD 924 (Emmorton Road) between Ring Factory Road and Plumtree Road - Roadway resurfacing - Single lane and shoulder closures along both segments of MD 924 (Kenmore Avenue) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and overnight 8 p.m. to  5 a.m. the next morning Sunday-Thursday nights.      

Howard County 

• Triadelphia Road Bridge over MD 32 – Highway widening project – Eastbound Triadelphia Road closed and detoured until summer 2020. Westbound Triadelphia Road traffic can use the existing bridge.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) from MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) to Spring Street. - WSSC pipe replacement project - Intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late summer 2020.              
• US 29 (Colesville Road) from St. Andrews Way to Stewart Lane. -Safety and resurfacing project - Single daytime lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and double overnight lane closures, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through year-end 2021.

• I-270 (Eisenhower Highway) from Interstate 70 to I-495 (Capital Beltway). - Traffic congestion relief construction project - Intermittent single lane closures, weekdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and single, double and triple overnight lane closures, Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and intermittent temporary ramp closures with detours up to 24 hours a day through late spring 2021.               
• Seminary Road from Hale Street to MD 192 (Forest Glen Road) - Bridge rehabilitation project - Intermittent left and right single northbound and southbound lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through year-end 2020.               
• Inner and outer loops of I-495 (Capital Beltway) from MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) to MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue). Bridge rehabilitation project. Intermittent single weekday single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and intermittent overnight single double and triple lane closures and full traffic stops, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through year-end 2020. 

Prince George’s County 

• US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) College Ave. to MD 193 (University Boulevard) - US 1 Reconstruction Project - Corridor Improvement- Northbound and southbound single lane closures throughout the length of the project Saturday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. starting June 6th through summer 2023.           
• US 1 from Oak Street to the Howard County Line – Resurfacing – Northbound and southbound double lane closures 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The 1.2-mile project is expected to be complete by this summer.
• Kerby Hill Road/Livingston Road intersections at MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) – Interchange construction project – Crossover from Kerby Hill Rd. to Livingston Rd. across MD 210 to close and be detoured. Click here for detour routes. Crews construction bridge that will connect the roads and will be complete by the end of 2021.           
• Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202.          

St. Mary’s County 

• Southbound MD 5 between Abell/Moakley Streets and MD 245 (Hollywood Road) - Daytime single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.              
• MD 5 between MD 238 and MD 234 - Emergency closure, traffic detour in place.        
• MD 235 Northbound, north of MacArthur Boulevard – Right shoulder and turn lane temporary closure; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.      
• MD 6 south of Parlett Morgan Road - Emergency closure, traffic detour in place.         

Washington County 

• I-70 East and Westbound at the MD 65 Interchange – Bridge rehabilitation and widening – Alternating east and westbound lane closures. Work continues daily between 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday night work will be done from 6 p.m.to 5 a.m. This will be continuous throughout the project.               
• I-70 East and Westbound at MD 56 (Big Pool) - Bridge deck replacement and rehabilitation for the bridge over I-70 - Left and right shoulder closure.
