(August 21, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin setting structural steel to build the framework for a new overpass over MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) southbound at Kerby Hill Road beginning this Sunday night, August 23.

Work will continue overnight, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday, August 27. Motorists traveling southbound on MD 210 can expect one travel lane to remain open at Kerby Hill Road. Alternatively, motorists can continue to use the MD 210 Service Road to avoid traffic during lane closures. Maryland State Police will be on site to assist with the lane closures.

This work is part of the $117.5 million MD 210 at Livingston Road and Kerby Hill Road Interchange Improvement Project in Prince George’s County, which is expected to be finished by the end of 2021. For more information on this project, click HERE.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
