What:
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) invites interested persons to attend an informational public meeting for the US 220 Planning Study. The project’s focus is to improve US 220 (McMullen Highway) with a concentration in the Cresaptown area at the US 220 intersections with MD 53 (Winchester Road) and MD 636 (Warrior Drive) in Allegany County.
The US 220 Project Team has completed a detailed study of a proposed alternative (Alternative 2 Modified). Project staff will present maps and exhibits of the alternatives under consideration, traffic data, and potential environmental impacts. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the study before the team selects a Preferred Alternative.
The meeting is an open house format. MDOT SHA representatives will be available to answer project-related questions and receive public comments. No formal presentation will be given. You may arrive at any time during meeting hours and walk through at your own pace.
