What:
The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration, in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration, is conducting a project planning study for MD 175 (Annapolis Road) from MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) to MD 170 (Odenton Road) in Anne Arundel County. The hearing affords all interested persons the opportunity to present their views on the proposed location and general design for the build and no-build alternatives. Comments will be placed on the official hearing record and transcript.

Why:
The MD 175 Study is evaluating improvements to the existing capacity, traffic operations and motor vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian safety while supporting existing and planned development in the area.
Those who would like to be placed on the speaker’s list for the Public Hearing OR who will need assistance to participate (i.e. interpreters) should make requests no later than June 19, 2008. Attendees will be able to speak after those on the established list. Written statements and other exhibits in lieu of an oral presentation at the Public Hearing may also be submitted to Assistant Project Manager Danielle Edmonds no later than July 27, 2008 in order to be included in the hearing transcript.

The Draft Environmental Assessment/Section 4(f) Evaluation is available for inspection and copying at the Anne Arundel County Library, SHA District 5 Office in Annapolis and SHA Headquarters in downtown Baltimore.
Directions:
From MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway), take the exit for MD 175 East for Odenton. Turn right onto 26th Street.
