(January 23, 2020) – On Sunday, January 26, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close three lanes on the inner loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 190 (River Road) and I-270. Crews will close one lane at 9 p.m., two lanes at 10 p.m. and three lanes at 11 p.m. to allow for guardrail repairs. All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.  

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for motorists, and our crews. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.
