Drivers Advised to Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures with Flagging Operations through Late December
(October 19, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin patching work along MD 134 (Bellona Avenue) between Ruxton Road and MD 139 (Charles Street) in the Ruxton area of Baltimore County on Sunday, October 22.
The work includes patching and re-marking sections of asphalt pavement where needed along MD 134. Drivers should expect overnight single lane closures with flagging operations on MD 134 Sundays through Thursdays 9 p.m.-5 a.m. the next day.
The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium, will use flagpersons, temporary traffic signs and cones to guide drivers safely through the work zone. The $306,000 project should be complete by late December, weather permitting.
The State Highway Administration understands roadwork can be an inconvenience but is necessary to maintain a safe and reliable highway system. Drivers are asked to slow down in the work zone for the safety of all drivers and the crews working to improve our roadways.
Customers may contact the State Highway Administration District 4 Office – Maintenance Division at 410-229-2300 or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367 for additional information.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
