The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA), along with our local and national partners, reminds all road users that “Safety Starts With You—Slow Down and Move Over!” when approaching a traffic incident or crash. Additional safety measures include:

  • staying alert when driving;
  • slowing down if you cannot safely move over a lane.
