Motorists Can Expect Daytime Lane Closures Through Friday, December 5

(November 26, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin replacing a stormwater pipe on MD 331 (Rhodesdale Vienna Road) at Indiantown Road in Vienna, Dorchester County, on Tuesday, December 2. The work is expected to be complete by Friday, December 5, weather permitting.

From Tuesday to Friday, drivers can expect single-lane closures from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as crews replace the failed pipe.  The State Highway Administration’s contractor, David A. Bramble, Inc. of Chestertown, MD will use barrels, cones, and flaggers to safely guide motorists through the work zone.  The single lane closures will be in place until the project has been completed.

The State Highway Administration appreciates customers’ patience during construction as we work to improve Maryland’s transportation system.  Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused and be aware of reduced speed limits and changing driving patterns in the work zone.  Slow Down and move over in work zones.  It’s the law.
