Starting Sunday, Motorists Can Expect Overnight Lane Closures, Flagging Operations on MD 146

(October 17, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will improve pavement on MD 146 (Dulaney Valley Road) between I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) and north of Fox Hunt Drive in Baltimore County beginning Sunday, October 20. The project should be complete mid-December, weather permitting.

Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, contractor crews will work along MD 146, with temporary lane closures and flagging operations in effect from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sundays – Thursdays. Drivers should add extra drivetime during the work.

Resurfacing work on in both directions of MD 146 will be done in in two segments. The first will be Dulaney Valley Road between I-695 to north of Pot Spring Road and the second between north of Pot Spring Road and north of Fox Hunt Drive.

The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium, will use cones and a flagging operation to safely guide motorists through the work zone.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
