Project Team Seeking Feedback on Proposed Design
(October 2, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host a public open house, 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, to gather feedback on the proposed design for an improvement project along MD 222 (Main Street) in Port Deposit, Cecil County. The open house will be held at the Cultural and Wellness Center, 100 N. Main St.
The project area extends along MD 222 from 2,500 feet south of High Street to Mill Street. The project will improve drainage, pedestrian connectivity and accessibility with the installation of new storm drain structures and upgraded sidewalks to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

The project is currently in the design phase. During the open house, attendees can view design details along with maps and displays that highlight the proposed design. State Highway Administration representatives will be available to answer project-related questions and listen to feedback. There will be no formal presentation.
