(January 2, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will improve the driving surface of MD 75 (Green Valley Road) between the Frederick/Carroll County line, south of Church Street, and High Street, a span of five miles, in the Union Bridge area of Carroll County, beginning 8 a.m. January 3. The project will repair cracks and depressions on the roadway and apply new striping.
During the project, there will be single-lane closures with a flagging operation as crews work on the roadway. The work schedule is weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This project is expected to be complete by February, weather permitting.
The contractor, Francis O. Day LLC based in Rockville, will use signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the work zone.
