Motorists Should Expect Lane and Shoulder Closures
(August 15, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will repair a pavement section along eastbound US 50 (John Hanson Highway) at the bridge over South Haven Road west of Annapolis this week.
Tonight, August 15 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, crews will temporarily close the right lane and shoulder along eastbound US 50, just west of I-97. On Tuesday, August 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews will close the two left lanes and the left shoulder on the same stretch of highway. Work is weather permitting.
Drivers should allow extra time traveling in this area. MDOT SHA will use electronic signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the work as well as lane and shoulder closures.
MDOT SHA’s contractor Team Cam LLC, of Linthicum, is performing the work.
Customers who have questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603. MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
