Marylanders Can Now Go On-Line to Access All State Transportation Units

HANOVER, MD – The Hogan Administration announced today that since its launch in May, nearly 350,000 Marylanders have stopped by the new Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) One Stop Shop customer-friendly website, where patrons can address all their transportation needs in one centralized on-line location.

http://mdotonestopshop.maryland.gov lets Marylanders access multiple services at their fingertips, including: renewing their car registration, getting an E-ZPass for our toll facilities, checking flight status at Baltimore Washington International/Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall); finding out what jobs are available throughout the MDOT system, and much more.
“Our administration is committed to providing the best customer service possible for our citizens,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “This website will provide a modernized, user-friendly experience for our customers and allow them to conduct their transportation business in a faster and more efficient way.”
The website provides handy access to all MDOT business units. For example, MDOT Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) offers its Pass Store for Charm Card and Commuter bus passes and everything you need to know about the new BaltimoreLink Transit System, MARC and other transit options. MDOT Maryland Port Administration (MDOT MPA) has Cruise Maryland information; MDOT State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) provides information on road projects and easy access to commercial permits; MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) promotes its online services and gives motorcycle safety tips; MDOT Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA) has information about operations at BWI Marshall and other state-run airports; and the Maryland Transportation Authority offers the E-ZPass for sale.
The website provides easy-click access to the Port of Baltimore Magazine for critical information about operations at the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore and elsewhere. Commercial trucking companies can register vehicles faster. And contractors can find information on the streamlined e-bidding process.
Secretary Pete K. Rahn said the website reflects his ongoing effort to build One MDOT. It’s ease of service is another step in the Hogan Administration’s ongoing commitment to keeping Maryland open for business and providing exceptional customer service.
“To meet the governor’s call for comprehensive customer service, we’ve opened a transportation portal where Marylanders can have their transportation needs fully met,” said Secretary Rahn. “This service makes it easier for Marylanders to connect to life’s opportunities.”
