Overnight Lane Closures Required on I-95/I-495 at MD 214, Tuesday into Wednesday

(December 13, 2021) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is nearing completion of the I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) bridges replacement project over MD 214 (Central Avenue) in Largo, and crews will perform overnight work Tuesday evening, December 14, into Wednesday morning, December 15, to remove construction devices and barriers.

This work will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue through 5 a.m. Wednesday, and will require a single-lane closure on I-95/I-495 northbound and southbound at MD 214. Message boards are in place to alert motorists.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.

Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
