Overnight Pavement Work Scheduled October 27 Through Late Fall

(October 26, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin overnight operations Wednesday, October 27, on a project to improve the driving surface of MD 165 (Pylesville Road) in the Pylesville community of Harford County. Crews will patch, mill and resurface sections of pavement along MD 165 between the MD 24 (Rocks Road) roundabout and north of North Harford High School, at 211 Pylesville Road. Crews will work overnight Sundays through Thursdays, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning. The project is expected to be complete by late November.

Motorists can expect single lane closures and a flagging operation while the overnight work is taking place. Contractor Allan Myers of Fallston will perform the work, which is part of  MDOT SHA’s highway pavement maintenance program in Harford County.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.

Editor’s Note

From intersection improvements to widening and new interchange construction, MDOT SHA is investing in projects to enhance the commute and daily travel for millions of Marylanders.  MDOT SHA maintains more than 2,500 bridges and 17,000 miles of non-toll state roads – the interstate, US and state numbered routes in Maryland’s 23 counties.
