MD 45 sign)(June 16, 2021) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will be working overnight tonight to repair the York Road (MD 45) ramp to I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) in the Towson area of Baltimore County. Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, June 16, crews will work to fill the area surrounding a replaced drainage pipe underneath the northbound MD 45 ramp to eastbound I-695 (Inner Loop). While crews are working, the MD 45 ramp to I-695 IL will be closed to traffic. The right lane of I-695 IL to the MD 45 will also be closed until the work is complete Thursday morning. Once the closure goes in effect tonight, motorists will be detoured as follows: Motorists on northbound York Road will be directed to turn left onto West Road and then turn right from West Road onto the other interchange ramp to eastbound I-695. Motorists traveling on northbound and southbound York Road in the vicinity of the I-695 interchange and West Road on Thursday morning should plan for extra travel time. MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
