​Daytime Project Requires Right-Lane Closure for Up To Three Hours 

(January 22, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will make emergency repairs to a section of damaged guardrail on eastbound I-70 over Monument Road​ near Myersville, Frederick County on Tuesday, January 23. The work is expected to be complete by 1 p.m. the same day, weather permitting.  

Starting tomorrow at 10 a.m., crews will close the right-lane of eastbound I-70 to make the repairs. Drivers should plan extra commute time. 

The contractor, Long Fence based in Odenton, will use electronic message boards, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the work zone and lane closure.
