Motorists Should Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures and Flagging Operation
(August 24, 2022) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has begun a project to resurface MD 213 (Centreville Road) from Mill Stream Branch to US 301 (Blue Star Memorial Highway) just south of Centreville in Queen Anne’s County.
Crews are working overnight, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings, to mill, patch, pave, stripe and install reflective pavement markings on MD 213. Motorists will encounter single-lane closures and flagging during the overnight work hours.
MDOT SHA contractor David A. Bramble Inc., of Chestertown, will use signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the lane closures and flagging operation, and guide them through the work zone. The project is expected to be complete by late September, weather permitting.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
