Nightly Single-Lane Closures Expected Sunday, May 15, through Friday Morning, May 20
(May 10, 2022) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin overnight work Sunday, May 15, on the I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) Inner Loop bridge ramp to MD 5 (Branch Avenue) in Prince George’s County. This maintenance and repair work is expected to be complete by Friday morning, May 20, weather permitting.
Beginning Sunday, crews will work 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night through Friday morning, May 20, along I-95/I-495 Inner Loop at Exit 7A, MD 5 South. During the work hours, motorists can expect the following single lane closures on the I-95/I-495 ramp:

a left lane closure Sunday, May 15, through the morning of Monday, May 16; and
- a right lane closure Tuesday, May 17, through the morning of Friday, May 20.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
