I-95 sign
(April 30, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will repair joints on the I-95 bridges over the Patapsco River and CSX tracks in Elkridge starting this Sunday, May 2, at 9 p.m. The overnight maintenance work is expected to be complete in June.
On Sunday night, crews will start with double lane closures on northbound I-95, just past I-895. Once work is complete on northbound I-95, crews will switch to the southbound I-95 bridge, which will also have double lane closures. Each direction is expected to take about one week to complete, weather permitting.
Crews will work Sunday nights through Friday mornings, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., until completion.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
