(April 16, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has begun work on the US 1 from Oak Street to the Howard County line resurfacing project. The 1.2-mile project is expected to be complete by this summer.
Motorists can expect northbound and southbound double lane closures 7 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will begin by milling the roadway and then place the new asphalt and complete striping work.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on the road and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, go to roads.maryland.gov.
