WHY:  SHA’s Office of Structures is hosting a public informational meeting / open house for the upcoming project to replace the 100-year-old bridge carrying MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) over a tributary of Bynum Run.

Located between Abingdon Road and MD 136 (Calvary Road), SHA will close the bridge to all traffic in late June after Harford County Public Schools complete the 2014-15 school year. Truck traffic will be detoured to I-95 using MD 24 and MD 543, while normal vehicular traffic will be detoured to US 40 using Abingdon Road and MD 543.

The open-house style public meeting will not have a formal presentation.  SHA project team members will be available to address questions and concerns about the bridge replacement project and summer 2015 detours.
