(January 17, 2020) – Tonight the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close two right lanes of the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) inner loop to make roadway repairs. The closures, which are at the bridge over US 1 (Southwestern Boulevard) and Leeds Avenue, will start at 9 p.m. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Saturday, January 18. Motorists are encouraged to add extra overnight commuting time or use alternate routes.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for motorists, as well as our crews. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
