Includes parks, community open spaces, highway demonstration plantings, school demonstration plantings, TREEmendous Maryland.

Minimum Recommended Planting Specifications

SPECIES MIX-No more than 30% of the trees and shrubs may belong to the same taxonomic family

STOCKING -Initial planting rate must consist of: 1, 2" caliper B&B or containerized tree per 400 s.f.
(about 100 trees/ac. at 201 x 201)
or
1, 1" caliper B&B or containerized tree per 225 s.f.
(about 200 trees/ac. at 151 x 151)
or
1 tree seedling with a Tree Shelter per 120 s.f.
(about 350 trees/ac. at 111 x 111 spacing). The survival rate at one year after planting must consist of 225 trees per acre)
or
1 tree seedling per 64 s.f. (about 700 trees/ac. At 81 x 81 spacing). The survival rate at one year after planting must consist of 436 trees/acre.
