(December 19, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will shift traffic on the MD 75 (Green Valley Road) bridge over I-70​ in New Market. The original date of Sunday, December 29 has been delayed. A new date will be scheduled and announced.

 

Starting at 8 p.m., crews will close the inner (left) lanes of northbound and southbound MD 75 and move traffic to the outer lanes. The operation is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. the following day, weather permitting. 

 

The traffic shift is necessary to provide crews a safe work zone to construct a new concrete median across the bridge. The $5 million project is replacing the deck (driving surface) on the MD 75 bridge. The project is expected to be complete in early 2025.
