4/13/2012Revised: SHA To Repair Short Sections of I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expwy.) in Baltimore County

(April 13, 2012) – Last week, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) began a $200,000 project to repair pavement on approaches to bridges along northbound and southbound I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) in northern Baltimore County.  SHA anticipates completing the resurfacing by late April 2012 (New date).
SHA is performing nighttime concrete patching operations along I-83 between I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) and Shawan Road.  Single lane closures may occur at any time Sunday through Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Double lane closures and ramp closures or diversions may also take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.  
 
Crews have recently completed daytime patching along I-83 between Exit 20, Shawan Road and the bridge carrying I-83 over Quaker Bottom Road.
 
SHA’s contractor for the project is Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium.
