NOTICE: Holiday restrictions for CONTAINERIZED CARGO PERMITS ONLY have been revised as follows: – No moves from 9:00 PM Friday May 26, 2017 through 4:00 AM Tuesday May 30, 2017. – No moves from 9:00 PM Friday June 30, 2017 through 4:00 AM Monday July 3, 2017. – No moves from 9:00 PM Monday July 3, 2017 until 4:00 AM Wednesday July 5, 2017. – No moves from 9:00 PM Friday September 1, 2017 through 4:00 AM Tuesday September 5, 2017. – No moves from 9:00 PM Friday December 22, 2017 through 4:00 AM Tuesday December 26, 2017. – No moves from 9:00 PM Friday December 29, 2017 through 4:00 AM Tuesday January 2, 2018.

4/13/20175 Axle Hauling Milk permits
NOTICE: The 5 axle milk hauling permit has been reinstated. Customers may apply through our Maryland One permit system for the remainder of this "spring flush" period which ends June 30th. Permits will be issued in 30 day increments or parts thereof and a Level 1 inspection is still required for both tractor and trailer. Questions can be directed to the MCD office at 410-582-5734.

12/20/2016Containerized Cargo Permits – Compliance
Containerized Cargo Permits – Compliance: Permits for containerized cargo going to or coming from the Port of Baltimore are provided free of charge by the Maryland State Highway Administration. It is important to remember that they are subject to the same sanctions as any other hauling permit for non-compliance with the terms and conditions of use. Suspension of a hauling permit can range from up to 30 days for two violations in a 6 month period to 120 days for more than 3 violations in a 12 month period. Containers are also subject to mandatory off-loading should a weight violation void their permit. For more information or to discuss a problem shipper please contact our office at 410-582-5734.
