Project Team will Share Design Plans; Public Encouraged to Attend
(May 14, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host a public open house, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, to show design plans for a project to make improvements at several locations along MD 231 (Hallowing Point Road) in Calvert County. The open house will be held at the College of Southern Maryland, 115 J.W. Williams Road, Building B, Prince Frederick.
The MD 231 Improvements Project is proposed to enhance pedestrian safety, vehicular operations and bicycle access at two MD 231 intersections – Skipjack Road and MD 508 (Adelina Road) – and along the stretch of MD 231 from Toye Lane to Mason Road. (See map.)

During the open house, attendees can view design details along with maps and displays that highlight the proposed improvements. There will be no formal presentation. State Highway Administration representatives will be on-hand to answer project-related questions.
