The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will provide an update on the MD 4 Corridor Study at an Open House on May 23, 2018. The study contains several components that seek to improve travel and increase safety along the MD 4 Corridor:

• Expand MD 4 to four lanes from just north of the Thomas Johnson Memorial Bridge in Calvert County to MD 235 in St. Mary’s County
• Improve the intersection at MD 4 and MD 235
• Build a new Thomas Johnson Bridge with two lanes in each direction, shoulders and a 10-foot-wide shared use path
• Remove the existing bridge

What: The Open House will present the status of the study in a series of maps and exhibits. You may arrive at any time during workshop hours and walk through at your own pace. There will be no formal presentation.
